𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 To attract and develop individuals who become recognized leaders in their respective industries 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The course consists of three phases Phase I: Assessment This phase aims to provide the participants with an opportunity to objectively examine key leadership competencies and interpersonal skills required to be an exemplary leader. Participants will engage in various self and 360 assessments to develop greater awareness of their current strengths and areas needing development as a leader. Participants will be required to create an action plan approved by their supervisor, and the action plan will be tracked throughout the program. Phase II: Skill Development This phase aims to provide the participants with the required skill sets to enable them to more effectively lead their teams and coach and mentor individuals within their teams toward the achievement of team and organizational priority goals. Each module within this phase is accompanied by a challenge in which the participant must apply a task assignment back in the workplace. Phase III: Setting my ongoing leadership development focus This phase's objective is to enable the participant to review where they were as leaders at the beginning of the process and to assess where they are presently in their development. Each participant will make a 15–20-minute presentation to the class as to what they have learned, their most significant gains, and focus as they evolve as a leader. The participant will commit to a 360° reassessment of their leadership competencies and develop a new action plan after the program. Course length: Total Hours: 80 hours Class Time: 75 hours Individual instructor time: 5 hours Accreditation: The University of Winnipeg has approved towards a Certificate in Management. This will require six additional courses, of which two can be challenged. Thus, only four courses may be required to complete the certificate program. Online completion of the courses is available. Completing the Certificate in Management qualifies the individual for the CIM designation by the Canadian Institute of Management.
